The Catholic Community of Northern Columbia County

There are so many times and reasons that we are asked to pray and this Easter Season is no exception. While we are still mourning the death of our beloved Pope Francis, in just a few days; the College of Cardinals will be meeting in a Conclave to pray and to select a new Pope to guide us. It’s also a time to continue to pray for those who joined the Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil at all the churches throughout the world, and those who have or will be receiving Easter Sacraments during this Easter Season. The ten of our tri-parish community who received one, two or three sacraments on Holy Saturday night, those who were also baptized recently and those who will be baptized in the coming weeks all deserve our prayer. We also have over 30 children of tri-parish community who have just gone to their first reconciliation. And we have a number of other young people who are preparing for first Holy Communion or Confirmation in the coming weeks in the CCNCC. What a wonderful time to be part of our Catholic Faith in our three parishes! Please continue to pray for them and the Holy Spirit to bless and guide them now and always. I’d also like to thank and ask you to pray for our catechists who have helped our catechumens, adults and children to get to the point of readiness to say yes to God in the sacraments!

May God continue to help us to be good disciples and spread the good news of the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ! (Please see p.7 regarding how to catch up on yours or your child’s sacraments.) Fr. Steve

Hay tantos momentos y razones por las que se nos pide queue recemos y este tiempo de Pascua no es una excepción. Aunque
todavía estamos de luto por la muerte de nuestro querido Papa Francisco, en tan solo unos días, el Colegio Cardenalicio se reunirá en Cónclave para rezar y elegir un nuevo Papa queue nos guíe.

También es tiempo de continuar orando por aquellos que se unieron a la Iglesia Católica durante la Vigilia Pascual en todas las iglesias
del mundo, y por aquellos que han recibido o recibirán los Sacramentos de Pascua durante este Tiempo Pascual. Los diez de nuestra
comunidad triparroquial que recibieron uno, dos o tres sacramentos la noche del Sábado Santo, los que también fueron bautizados
recientemente, y los que serán bautizados en las próximas semanas, todos merecen nuestra oración. También tenemos más de 30 niños de la comunidad tripartita que acaban de ir a su primera reconciliación. Y tenemos otros jóvenes que se están preparando para la Primera Comunión o la Confirmación en las próximas semanas en la CCNCC. ¡Qué tiempo tan maravilloso para ser parte de nuestra Fe Católica en nuestras tres parroquias! Por favor continúen rezando por ellos y que el Espíritu Santo los bendiga y guíe ahora y
siempre. También me gustaría agradecer y pedirles que oren por nuestros catequistas que han ayudado a nuestros catecúmenos, adultos y niños a llegar al punto de estar listos para decir ¡sí a Dios en los sacramentos!
