RCDA Annual Marian Consecration & Renewal

Consecration to Mary is a spiritual exercise through which we receive graces to strengthen our Catholic spirituality and our ability to better serve Jesus and His Church. When we participate in Marian Consecration exercises, we strive to follow Mary’s example — her willingness to say “yes” to God’s will and to trust in God’s purpose and plan for her — while receiving graces to dedicate ourselves totally to Christ in a way that consecrates us to Him. To aid us in preparing for Consecration, Bishop Ed recommends the book 33 Days to Morning Glory (to purchase and for more information at https://rcda.org/MarianConsecration). The daily reading takes only 3-5 minutes and then is pondered during the rest of one’s day. The 33-day preparation can be done alone or in a group. Please take note of the following important dates:

Saturday, November 5: Start date of the book, 33 Days to Morning Glory. (Do not worry if you begin the preparation late or fall behind on chapters. Simply catch up when you can.)

• Thursday, December 8: The RCDA Marian Consecration Mass Event, 12:15 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The preparation will culminate with the renewed Consecration to Jesus through Mary at our cathedral on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (holy day of obligation). You may also Join virtually at rcda.org/livestream or find the recording later at your convenience on the diocesan YouTube channel.
