Give Praise and Thanks to God – Alleluia!
We continue our Easter Season, as today is the Eighth day of Easter and the Second Sunday of Easter. In a sense, it is the Alleluia Season. We will continue to have extra Alleluias throughout the 50 days of the Easter Season.
We have lots to thank and praise God for – the biggest is our core belief that Jesus was raised from the dead! Have doubts about that? Re-read the part of today’s Gospel where Thomas (one of the twelve Apostles) has lots of doubts that Jesus is alive. While we don’t know where he was on that first Easter night, we do know that the following Sunday (the octave) Thomas was with the other disciples when Jesus appeared again.
I love the quote that Jesus said to Thomas: “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” Think about it. Jesus said to His disciples, 2000 years ago that those of us who have not seen Jesus, are blessed. That is you and I. So, bring your doubts, your questions and misunderstandings and bring them to the Risen Savior.

Den Alabanza y Gracias a Dios – ¡Aleluya!
Continuamos con nuestro Tiempo Pascual, ya que hoy es el Octavo día de Pascua y el Segundo Domingo de Pascua. En cierto sentido es la Temporada Aleluya. Continuaremos teniendo Aleluyas adicionales a lo largo de los 50 días de la Temporada de Pascua.
Tenemos mucho por lo que agradecer y alabar a Dios: ¡el mayor es nuestra creencia central de que Jesús resucitó de entre los muertos! ¿Tienes dudas al respecto? Vuelva a leer la parte del Evangelio de hoy donde Tomás (uno de los doce apóstoles) tiene muchas dudas de que Jesús esté vivo. Si bien no sabemos dónde estaba en esa primera noche de Pascua, sí sabemos que el domingo siguiente (la octava) Tomás estaba con los otros discípulos cuando Jesús apareció de nuevo.
Me encanta la cita que Jesús le dijo a Tomás: “¿Has llegado a creer porque me has visto? Bienaventurados los que no vieron y creyeron.” Piénsalo. Jesús les dijo a sus discípulos, hace 2000 años, que aquellos de nosotros que no hemos visto a Jesús, somos bendecidos. Eso somos tú y yo. Entonces, trae tus dudas, tus preguntas y malentendidos y llévalos al Salvador Resucitado.

Easter Appreciation
First, a huge thank you to all who helped in any way during Holy Week. It was an inspiring and talented collective effort, and we are grateful to each of you!
A very special thanks to all who encouraged others to join us this Easter! Wasn't it wonderful to have full masses?!

Apreciación de Pascua
Primero, muchas gracias a todos los que ayudaron de alguna manera durante la Semana Santa. Fue un esfuerzo colectivo inspirador y talentoso, ¡y estamos agradecidos con cada uno de ustedes!
¡Un agradecimiento muy especial a todos los que animaron a otros a unirse a nosotros esta Pascua! ¡¿No fue maravilloso tener misas llenas?!
Y finalmente, gracias por su generosidad al apoyarnos financieramente esta Pascua. Sus ofrendas de Pascua nos ayudan a compartir el mensaje de Cristo y apoyan nuestros ministerios en cada una de nuestras parroquias.
