For over three years, our tri-parish community has had restrictions on either coming to mass and/or receiving Holy Communion.  I am pleased to announce that after much prayer and discussion with the Tri-parish Pastoral Council and the trustees from each parish, we have decided that next weekend, (May 6 & 7) and thereafter, the Eucharistic Ministers (and priests) will no longer need to wear a mask during the distribution of Holy Communion.  Of course, individual communicants (parishioners, benefactors, and visitors) may still wear a mask in church and when coming to receive Communion. (Just a gentle reminder that when you are offered the Body of Christ, the Real Presence of Jesus, the proper response is to reply Amen.) The Eucharistic Ministers and Priests will still use hand sanitizer before distributing Holy Communion. We ask those communicants who may have a cold to please use the hand sanitizers in the aisles before approaching the minister.

Additionally, effective May 27 & 28, (the Feast of Pentecost) our three parishes will once again be offering the Precious Blood of Jesus.  Please note that this is not a mandatory requirement.  Receiving the Precious Body of Christ is considered a complete reception of Holy Communion.  There is no obligation to receive from the cup.  If for any reason you do not wish to receive the cup, please walk by the minister and bow your head in respect to Jesus’ Real Presence in His Blood.  Of course, if you have a cold, flu, Covid, etc., please do NOT receive from the cup.

Durante más de tres años, nuestra comunidad tri-parroquial ha tenido restricciones para asistir a misa y/o recibir la Sagrada Comunión. Me complace anunciar que después de mucha oración y discusión con el Consejo Pastoral Tri-parroquial y los síndicos de cada parroquia, hemos decidido que el próximo fin de semana (6 y 7 de mayo) y en adelante, los Ministros Eucarísticos (y sacerdotes) no ya no es necesario usar una máscara durante la distribución de la Sagrada Comunión. Por supuesto, los comulgantes individuales (feligreses, benefactores y visitantes) aún pueden usar una máscara en la iglesia y cuando vengan a recibir la Comunión. (Solo un amable recordatorio de que cuando se le ofrece el Cuerpo de Cristo, la Presencia Real de Jesús, la respuesta adecuada es responder Amén). Los Ministros y Sacerdotes de la Eucaristía seguirán usando desinfectante para manos antes de distribuir la Sagrada Comunión. Les pedimos a aquellos comulgantes que puedan tener un resfriado que usen los desinfectantes para manos en los pasillos antes de acercarse al ministro.

Además, a partir del 27 y 28 de mayo (fiesta de Pentecostés), nuestras tres parroquias ofrecerán una vez más la Preciosa Sangre de Jesús. Tenga en cuenta que este no es un requisito obligatorio. Recibir el Precioso Cuerpo de Cristo se considera una recepción completa de la Sagrada Comunión. No hay obligación de recibir de la copa. Si por alguna razón no desea recibir la copa, camine junto al ministro e incline su cabeza con respecto a la Presencia Real de Jesús en Su Sangre. Por supuesto, si tiene un resfriado, gripe, Covid, etc., NO reciba de la taza.
