Remade for Mission – Initiative – CCNCC

As the calendar turns to November, we start the month by recalling all the saints, both those whose help we may pray for (Saint Jude, Anthony, Mother Theresa, Martha, Joseph, James, John the Baptist, etc.) and those of our family and friends who are part of the communion of saints, as well as those we remember on All Souls Day. In our faith tradition, these are days the Church has long had us be thankful for. We will also – as both a Church and a country - celebrate Thanksgiving Day (November 27). I ask you to mark your calendar and plan to join other tri-parish parishioners in our CCNCC for Mass that day at a special time, 8:30 am, so that those cooking or traveling will be able to do so without adding stress to their day. What a great way to start the day set aside by our country, to thank God for all our blessings! May I also invite you to mark your calendars for the first of the ‘Remade for Mission’ Listening Sessions, in which the primary question to be answered is, “What is the shared, future vision of CCNCC?” As previously mentioned, there will be two sessions, you need only attend one. However, we expect them to be two hours, and we plan to start and end on time, so please commit to being there for the duration:

Remade for Mission - Initiative - CCNCC

Con la llegada de noviembre, comenzamos el mes recordando a todos los santos, tanto a aquellos por cuya ayuda podemos rezar (San Judas, Antonio, la Madre Teresa, etc.) como a aquellos de nuestros familiares y amigos que forman parte de la comunión de los santos, y a quienes recordamos en el Día de Todos los Santos. En nuestra tradición de fe, estos son días por los que la Iglesia nos ha hecho dar gracias desde hace mucho tiempo. También nosotros—como Iglesia y como país- celebraremos el Día de Acción de Gracias (27 de noviembre). Les pido que marquen su calendario y planeen unirse a otros feligreses triparroquiales en nuestro CCNCC para la Misa de ese día a una hora especial, 8:30 am, para que aquellos que cocinen o viajen puedan hacerlo sin añadir estrés a su día. ¡Qué gran manera de comenzar el día reservado por nuestro país, para dar gracias a Dios por todas nuestras bendiciones! Permítanme también invitarles a marcar sus calendarios para la primera de las Sesiones de Escucha de Remade for Mission, en la que la pregunta principal a responder es: «¿Cuál es la visión compartida y futura de CCNCC?» Sesiones separadas se llevarán a cabo con nuestra comunidad española y con nuestros estudiantes de secundaria y universitarios - mira este espacio para más detalles.
