We continue our brief retrospective before we can look to the future… Fr. George arrived in late summer 2014 as the Pastor of our three parishes. He established the Central Office at St. John’s under the direction of Drew Nelson and the Trustees until January 2017. The three parishes maintained staff at each parish. There were some changes in January 2017, and Ann McCaully was hired in March as the Pastoral Associate for Administration and Parish Life for the Catholic Community of Northern Columbia County (CCNCC). One of her duties was to develop strong linkages between the three parish communities at the direction of the pastor. After facing many challenges in attempting to bring the three parish communities closer together, Ann resigned in August 2018. During Ann's tenure, Debbie Halpin began splitting her time between St. Joseph’s and St. John's. Debbie was hired as Business Manager for St. John and St. Joseph in September 2018 and Judy Thorton was the office manager at St. James.

During this time, payroll and some accounting functions were being handled through the Central Office in Valatie. Covid-19 affected the progress of forming a closer tri-parish community and once permitted by the Diocese, Fr. George made the decision on the current Mass schedule with some minor adjustments by me, in consultation with the Trustees and the Tri-Parish Pastoral Council. (The exception was the ending of the duplication of 4pm Masses of Anticipation at both Valatie and Stottville.) Fr. George was transferred in the Winter of 2021, when a transition team was named by the Diocese, led by Deacon Andy Grebe. A number of changes were made that included the “new” tri-parish bulletin and website, along with other changes. Visiting priests assigned to cover the Masses for both the English- and Spanish-language Masses. I was named pastor in the summer of 2021. Mirando hacia el futuro de la CCNCC

Continuamos con nuestra breve retrospectiva antes de mirar hacia el futuro… El P. George llegó a finales del verano de 2014 como párroco de nuestras tres parroquias. Estableció la Oficina Central en St. John’s, bajo la dirección de Drew Nelson y los miembros del consejo de administración, hasta enero de 2017. Las tres parroquias mantuvieron su propio personal. Hubo algunos cambios en enero de 2017, y en marzo se contrató a Ann McCaully como asistente pastoral para la administración y la vida parroquial de la Comunidad Católica del Norte del Condado de Columbia (CCNCC). Una de sus funciones era desarrollar vínculos sólidos entre las tres comunidades parroquiales bajo la dirección del párroco. Tras enfrentarse a numerosos retos al intentar acercar las tres comunidades parroquiales, Ann dimitió en agosto de 2018. Se realizaron varios cambios, entre los que se incluían el «nuevo» boletín y la página web de las tres parroquias, junto con otros cambios. Se asignaron sacerdotes visitantes para cubrir las misas tanto en inglés como en español. Fui nombrado párroco en el verano de 2021.
