As we move closer to Holy Week and the culmination of the Paschal Mystery - that is Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection - we hear more and more in the weekly Biblical stories of Jesus as the Messiah, the Chosen One, the Beloved Son of God. Three weeks ago, we heard Peter answer Jesus’ question, “Who do you say that I am?,” with, “You are the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God!” Two weeks ago, we heard that Jesus was led into the desert by the Holy Spirit to pray and fast for 40 days and then was tempted by the devil. Last week, we heard from our Heavenly Father that Jesus is His beloved Son, and we are to Listen to Him!

This week, Jesus tells a Samaritan woman that He is the Messiah. Hopefully, you are hearing the pattern that, as Jesus travels to
Jerusalem during our 40 days of Lenten Journey, we are hearing more that He is the One sent by God to save us! In the Psalm today, we use the words: If today you hear the voice of God, harden not your hearts. So, our questions become – are we listening? If so, what is God telling you? What is God trying to ask you or to get you to hear – today?! If you are not hearing God... can you find a few minutes to listen?

A medida que nos acercamos a la Semana Santa y a la culminación del Misterio Pascual —es decir, la vida, muerte y resurrección
de Jesús—, escuchamos cada vez más en las historias bíblicas semanales sobre Jesús como el Mesías, el Elegido, el Hijo Amado de Dios.

Hace tres semanas, escuchamos a Pedro responder a la pregunta de Jesús: «¿Quién dices que soy yo?», con: «¡Tú eres el Cristo, el
Mesías, el Hijo de Dios!». Hace dos semanas, escuchamos que Jesús fue llevado al desierto por el Espíritu Santo para orar y ayunar durante 40 días y luego fue tentado por el diablo. La semana pasada, escuchamos de nuestro Padre Celestial que Jesús es su Hijo amado, ¡y que debemos escucharle! Esta semana, Jesús le dice a una mujer samaritana que Él es el Mesías.

Espero que estén percibiendo el patrón de que, a medida que Jesús viaja a Jerusalén durante nuestros 40 días de Cuaresma, ¡estamos escuchando cada vez más que Él es el enviado de Dios para salvarnos!En el salmo de hoy, utilizamos las palabras: «Si hoy oís la voz de Dios, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones». Así pues, nuestras preguntas son: ¿estamos escuchando? Si es así, ¿qué os está diciendo Dios? ¿Qué está tratando Dios de pediros o de haceros oír hoy? Si no estáis escuchando a Dios... ¿podéis encontrar unos minutos para escuchar?
