Browsing Family Formation and Youth Ministry News

weekend of September October 21 and October 22, 2023

"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”

Family Faith Formation began on Sunday, October 15 with the 5 pm Mass at St. John the Baptist with over 90 people in attendance. Young people who received the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring served their community as lector and Eucharistic Minister.  A reminder that all are welcome at this monthly Mass.

Family Faith Formation’s goal is to form FAMILIES in FAITH as disciples of Jesus, living their lives as he lived.  Young people are formed in age appropriate groups, while adults gather for adult catechesis. FFF meets once a month with both a morning and an evening option.  The exception is for those young people eligible for the Sacraments. Preparation for those receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for the first time is on Sunday morning, while preparation for those receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation is on Sunday evening.

The current calendar is through December 2023.  We will share any changes to the Mass schedule if any are made.
