Weekend of November 9th & 10th

“The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God."

The month of November is dedicated to remembering Souls who have shared our journey and to thinking of the Saints who bring us words and examples of God’s love, peace, and devotion in this world, even when we struggle. Take this month to investigate a favorite Saint even further and rely on them with prayers for intercession.

Thank you to everyone who shared time assisting with and participating in a blessed Faith Formation Gathering at St. John’s on Nov. 3. We are truly God’s Masterpieces.

SPECIAL REMINDER to all 1st reconciliation/1st Eucharist families! The next preparation session takes place on Sunday, Dec. 1 at St. Joseph’s at 9:15 am. Preparation lessons are followed by the 10:45 am mass. All youth preparing for either first reconciliation and/or first Eucharist are expected to attend instruction and mass.

Family Gathering #3 at St. John the Baptist church takes place Sunday, Dec. 1 beginning with mass at 5 pm. A shared meal (ziti is back on the menu!), and faith formation follow the family mass. Even if you were not able to make the last two gatherings, PLEASE JOIN ON DEC. 1ST FOR FAMILY FAITH FORMATION! Registration forms are still being accepted and may be completed that evening.

For further information regarding registration, contact Ann Valley at (W) (518) 758-1828, (C) 518-227-1025, or ccnccformation@gmail.com.

An email including a Faith Formation gathering volunteer signup was sent this past week. Please check your email and take a few moments to reflect on this request. Teaming with friends and family to take on even a single task is enjoyable and rewarding! Please help enrich our faith formation community. Contact Ann Valley (info above) with any questions.

UPCOMING SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH AND FAMILIES:

During the month of November we will focus on lending time to help clean up the cemeteries of the CCNCC. Please check further in this bulletin for the remaining clean-up schedule for each cemetery. Confirmation candidates especially are called to share their time at our service opportunities.

In December we will gather to create Christmas cards for parishioners needing care away from home and our homebound members. The Bethlehem tree will be an opportunity for all to share their gifts and be blessed with Christmas spirit. Date TBD

In January we will prepare bagged lunches for Sidewalk Warriors and will deliver them to Troy. Anyone wishing to help
deliver and distribute, please contact Ann Valley. Date TBD
