Recent Family Faith Formation (FFF) happenings:

It was a busy Sacrament prep weekend! Last Saturday our 1st Eucharist class shared lessons and fun crafts explaining the Mass and Jesus’ special gift of the Eucharist. They completed their 2nd reconciliation – great job!! Thank you Jenn Pulver, Ali Barone, and Blaise Perez (and Marvin) for creating this special event!

Last Sunday it was inspirational to watch the Confirmation class share the Ceremony of Light with their sponsors and Godparents! Retreat highlights included the Creed, the Mass, the Stations, crafting am image of service, and sharing ideas of faith and confirmation with community members. Sacrament baseball was a hit (and Fay’s homemade cookies were too)! 

Special thanks to our awesome parish assistants: Kori Brown, Natalie Fores, Azucena Hernandez, Jodee and Will Kosnick, Daisy Morales, Sheila Stumph, Steve Valley, Ann Vehlies, and Mark Wilson; and a big thank you to Rose Ann Garry from St. Thomas (Delmar) for assisting with event organization. The day ended with our final St. John’s FFF gathering, with speaker Dave Stagliano from Diocesan Discipleship Formation helping us identify special gifts we are uniquely blessed with. Families and community: thank you especially for your prayers and involvement with our youth - they are the foundation that contributes to lifelong faith!

1st Eucharist - 3 masses: Sun., 6/8 at St. James 9am; Sat. 6/14 at St. John 4 pm, or Sun. 6/15 at St. Joseph 10:45 am

Jenn Pulver’s 1st Reconciliation youth - retreat followed by the
Sacrament, Sat., June 7 at St. John’s 9:30am -3:30 pm

Confirmation - June 1, 2-4 pm, rehearsal 5/31, 7-8 pm both at St. John the Baptist.

In June, be on the lookout for summer FFF events!

BACCALAUREATE - save the evening of Friday, June 13 to join with our community to bless and celebrate the success of our CCNCC high school graduates!
