 Where did the ashes come from last Wednesday? Now we know! The families at the March 2 gathering had the gift of experiencing the burning of previously blessed palms, turning them into our Ash Wednesday ashes. Thank you very much, Barb Berger, for organizing this event!

Thank you for last weekend’s contributions to our (weather delayed) Souper Bowl Sunday collections. We collected $609 from all churches last weekend, plus $546 collected two weeks ago. The confirmation class uses these funds in preparing 3 full meals that they bring to Joseph House Shelter in Troy. This is a tremendous service experience; you help make it possible. The first meal is this weekend, March 9! SOUPER BOWL Sunday collections, delayed by weather, will take place at St. Joseph’s 12:30 pm Mass this weekend.

 CONFIRMATION APPLICATIONS AND DATA SHEETS need to be turned into/mailed to the CCNCC Faith Formation office in the rectory of St. John the Baptist church, 1025 Kinderhook St., Valatie. Confirmation will be on June 1 at St. John the Baptist Church; important dates were emailed and mailed to families.
