As we enter Holy Week, and the busy-ness of our family life continues to overwhelm us, please take time to gather as community. Beginning this weekend with Palm Sunday at our regularly scheduled Masses, we commemorate Jesus’s triumphant entrance into Jerusalem where his followers welcomed him. During the Triduum – Holy Thursday at St. Joseph - we celebrate Jesus’s gift of Eucharist, on Good Friday at St. John the Baptist we remember Jesus’s sacrifice of his human body for our sins, and at the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Masses we remember Jesus’s glorious Resurrection from the dead. May these holiest of days remind us that we do not travel through our lives alone. Jesus is our companion.

Our young people are in the final steps of their preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Each of them continues to need our prayers as they serve others and spend time on retreat. Please pray that they be open to the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, allowing them to see what is possible in a world fraught with injustice
