The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”
This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). In the readings from the Old Testament and New Testament, the writers remind us that God provides us with food so that we can live forever. In the Gospel, Jesus explains what that means when he says, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven, whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” Is there a more compelling argument for receiving Eucharist?
The next Family Faith Formation is this Sunday, June 11 at 9:15 am at St. James.
