Family Faith Formation
"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”
On Ash Wednesday, many of us gather for Mass and services. Did you ever wonder about the ashes that are applied to your forehead? Our families witnessed the burning the palms from last year’s Palm Sunday Masses at St. John the Baptist on February 5 following the Family Faith Formation Mass. The ashes from the burned palms ware those that will be used on Ash Wednesday in CCNCC parishes. A special thanks to Rose, Olivia, Barb, and Father Steve for participating in the ritual. Sunday, February 12, the morning Family Faith Formation will gather for the same service following the 9:15 am Mass at St. James.
The next Family Faith Formation gatherings are Sunday, March 5 at St. John the Baptist at 5 pm, and Sunday, March 12 at 9:15 am at St. James, Chatham.
First Reconciliation took place at the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls on Wednesday, February 8, at 6:30 pm. Blessings to all 12 children and their families.
Our Confirmation candidates are collecting at the doors of all the CCNCC churches this weekend. The funds collected will help our candidates with their service projects during the next few months, including meals for Joseph House Shelter, sandwiches for the Joseph Outreach Van, and Sidewalk Warriors.

Sidewalk Warriors
Nutritional bags are prepared each week and provided to those who are displaced or experiencing homelessness. They may not have cooking options, so the bags contain tuna packets, peanut butter, crackers, nuts, and high protein bars. Are you able to help? Please bring donations to the CCNCC office. Thank you to all of you who continue to provide.
