Family Faith Formation

"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God."

The beginning is near.

The fourth Sunday of Advent is here and our families are ready for the time of waiting to conclude and our joyful anticipation to be realized.  The infant Jesus came to live his life among us in the most humble of circumstances.  May we all remember that we are called by his words and actions to live a life of hope, peace, joy, and love, serving God and each other.

  Bethlehem Tree

The Bethlehem Tree at St. John the Baptist provided gifts for the children of 14 families.  We were able to be sure that each child received a book, toy, pajamas, hat and mittens, underwear, a complete outfit and sweater or sweatshirt.  We were also able to include a food gift card for each family this year.

Thank you to all who helped to make this Christmas a joyful one for so many – through your gifts, donations, time sorting, boxing, bagging, and delivering.  Blessings to all!

Sidewalk Warriors

Please continue to supply cereal, granola bars, tuna, peanut butter, and individually wrapped toilet paper for those friends who visit Sidewalk Warriors of Troy each week.   A bag of ground coffee or a container of instant coffee is a treat!
