SUMMER SERVICE DAYS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - SIGN UP
Next event: Troy Sidewalk Warriors. Thursday, August 14. Food prep (300 bagged lunches) will occur at churches 1–3pm. Delivery and distribution will begin at 3:45 pm from churches to Troy. Volunteers needed for each portion!! Learn about Sidewalk Warriors at www.sidewalkwarriorstroy.com. This is an excellent opportunity for our newly confirmed; transportation will be available; contact Ann Valley at CCNCCformation@gmail.com with any questions! A link will be sent to parishioners this week, and paper sign-ups are in each church. Let’s join our efforts to make a difference!
Final Summer Service Event: Thursday evening, August 21— be involved at a local nursing home. Details in the making!
On the evening of July 24th, a productive crew from CCNCC joined forces with other volunteers at the Regional Food Bank in Latham to sort and box foods that had been donated by local stores and businesses/contributors. Much of the food that arrives at this food bank would otherwise be gotten rid of due to overstock or change of inventory at local stores. The volunteers allow the contributions to be redirected to 23 different counties of Northeastern New York. What a blessing! Thank you to all who participated!
