"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”
Next weekend, May 27 and 28, we celebrate the feast of Pentecost, known as the birthday of the Church. Our Gospel for the weekend focuses on the words the Risen Christ spoke to his followers “…As the Father sent me, so I send you.” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20: 21-22) This is our call to action. With the blessing of Jesus, sent by the Father, and strengthened by the gift of the Holy Spirit, our mission is clear: we are called to share the teachings of Jesus.
The next Family Faith Formation is this Sunday, May 21 at 9:15 am at St. James.
