The Weekend of February 24 and 25, 2024

"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”

Our Lenten journey has begun.

PRAY, FAST, GIVE are one word guides to remind us of our calling.  All of us, whether young, old, or in between are asked to celebrate – yes CELEBRATE – this time with a renewal of focus.  Jesus came to free us from original sin and to open the gates to heaven for all of us, but we are more than just recipients of these gifts.  Jesus calls us to active participation.  What are you doing to show that you believe in the Message of Jesus?  Praying with more intention?  Fasting from those things that are unkind or hurtful to others?  Giving of your time and talent without being asked or without looking for recognition?  Do your actions celebrate the unconditional love of Jesus?
