Family Faith Formation Week of June 19 & 20

Over 100 families registered and participated in monthly gatherings for high school families and used the learning packets for  elementary and middle school families during the 2021 2022 school year. The families with younger children concentrated on the Seven Sacraments, gifts from Jesus to help us gain the grace necessary to live a life of love and service. While learning about the Corporal Works of Mercy, ninth grade families practiced each together. They cleaned parish cemeteries, packed food at the Regional Food Bank, created blankets for Joseph House, wrote letters of affirmation for the diocesan retreat team to share with the people they serve through REC Residents encountering Christ, and drew and wrote notes and cards for people in extended living facilities.
Tenth grade candidates for Confirmation and their families served others by making meals for Joseph House, sandwiches for the homeless, and aiding others at Sidewalk Warriors, while preparing to receive the Sacrament.

Formation is a life long journey, so all are welcome to participate in Family Vacation Bible School Monday through Thursday evenings, July 11 14. The evening will begin with a light supper followed by adult gathering, and games, crafts, and Bible fun for children ages up to fifth grade. Young people from sixth grade and older are invited to staff the program. If you were unable to attend the Thursday June
16 meeting and wish to help, please email Ruth Ellen at CCNCCformation@gmail.com or call 518-758-1828 for more information. We need you!
