Celebration of Sacraments

The last of the Masses for the children receiving the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time, was celebrated on Sunday evening, May 22 at the Church of St. Joseph in Stottville. Many congratulations to all of the children and their families. May you be blessed with the grace of the Sacrament given to us at the Last supper and continue to receive Him each week.

Most Reverend Edward Scharfenberger, Bishop of the Diocese of Albany, celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, May 22. 32 candidates from Columbia County, received the Sacrament, the final of the three Sacraments of Initiation, choosing to be Disciples of Christ.
