FAMILY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Monday through Thursday evenings, July 11 – 14, at St John the Baptist, beginning with a light supper at 5 pm. Following supper, adults will gather while children up to fifth grade participate in games, crafts, and Bible fun. Come for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 evenings!
Young people from sixth grade and older are invited to staff the program. VBS Staff meetings are Wednesdays at 6 pm at the Rectory at St. John the Baptist. If you wish to help, please email Ruth Ellen or call 518-758-1828 for more information. We need you!
THE ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE
The ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE is Friday, August 5 at the Olde Kinderhook Golf Club. Price is $120 per golfer. Registration forms were sent to last year’s gofers, but additional registration and donation forms are on the bulletin board at St. John the Baptist, and are available on the CCNCC website by clicking here.
Parishioners began this Scramble over 25 years ago as a way to benefit the young people of St. John the Baptist Parish. Kudos to them for their foresight and support!
BROOKS CHICKEN BARBECUE
BROOKS CHICKEN BARBECUE is also on Friday, August 5. Tickets are advance sale for pickup only, and are available at the office at 1025 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, NY 12184. Price is $14 and includes a half chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, dinner roll and butter.
SIDEWALK WARRIORS
We are looking for volunteers to deliver the collected goods to Troy between 5:15 and 5:45 on Thursdays once a month. Please call Peggy at the CCNCC office at 518-758-9401 to volunteer.
Current needs include canned fruits, crackers, and toilet paper. As always, cereal, mac and cheese, and canned tuna are welcome.
