Faith Formation December 25

Family Formation

Families with young people in grades K – 8

A safe environment is our family focus for January. Watch your email for information about this topic!

We will return to Sacraments in February, with anointing the Sick, followed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation in March. Our final packet in April will concentrate on the Sacraments of Service: Marriage and Holy Orders. Watch for more information on Family Packet pickup dates and other pertinent information.

Please mark your Calendars!

On Saturday, January 22 from 9 am to noon all young children preparing for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation will gather for an essential retreat. First Reconciliation will be celebrated in early February. More information will be shared with families in early January.

Families with young people in High School

The schedule for the Sunday family formation gatherings for winter and spring was shared with families at our gathering on Sunday, December 12 at the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant. There has been a revision. The new calendar has been mailed to all families to be sure that everyone can plan for this busy time. A thank you to all of the CCNCC parishes for welcoming our young people and their families to share food and formation after Mass during the fall sessions. We are grateful for such a welcoming community!

Sidewalk Warriors

The number of people requesting help with essential items continues to rise. Sidewalk Warriors meets people where they are and relies on the kindness of each of us. Please continue your good work. The need is on-going for family-sized boxes of cereal, boxes of oatmeal packets, pop tarts, canned soup and vegetables, as well as crackers. All donations can be dropped off at the CCNCC offices at 1025 Kinderhook Street in Valatie. Thank you to all of you who continue to practice the Corporal Works of Mercy as you help people through your generosity.

Correction The letters sent to parishioners from St. John the Baptist incorrectly listed Father Jack’s email address. The correct address is jmolyn1@gmail.com
