A simple morning prayer for children:
“Good morning, Lord Jesus, this day is for you.
Please bless everything I think, say, and do. Amen."
Mother nature threw us a curveball last weekend with storm paths initially directed squarely over our CCNCC region, leading to the cancellation of our St. James FFF gathering. Thankfully, the roads were safer than expected. Now, with Lent approaching, we look forward to this solemn time to reflect through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, the meaning of Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection in our daily lives. Please join our CCNCC community for Lenten events as we support one another in our preparation for Easter Sunday.
Sincere thanks to those who contributed last weekend to our confirmation class’s Souper Bowl collections (St. Joseph’s will be collected this weekend). These funds will allow us to plan, prepare and serve a hot meal at the Joseph house in Troy, NY, and to contribute prepared food to other local missions. We collected a total of $746 from the generosity of those attending the St. John’s 4 pm and St. James 9 am masses. Thank you!! Service opportunities:
Rotary Club Hat/gloves/socks drive: bring new items of any size - donation boxes are located in each parish. Runs through February.
