Did you participate in the Summer Service Mondays in July?  Did you want to, but found the time wasn’t feasible? 

Perhaps you can help our neighbors at the Kinderhook Reformed Church on Saturday, September 16 to package 25,000 dehydrated meals for shipping to vulnerable communities through the Rise Against Hunger initiative.  In order to make this happen, 120 volunteers ages 3 to 100+ are needed, including people for set-up at 11:30 am, from 1 – 3:15 pm to pack meals, and a cleanup crew to end the day, all at the Martin H. Glynn building on Church Street in Valatie.  You can sign-up by calling the Reformed Church at 518-758-6401, or Ruth Ellen at 518-758-1828. Gather a group or come as an individual!  Just let us know before September 1.

No matter your size or age, you are the hands and feet of Jesus! Please continue to pray: Generous God, you provide me daily with all I need. Help me to share what I have with those in need.

Volunteers are needed for Children’s Liturgy of the Word during Sunday Mass.  Please contact Ruth Ellen at 518-758-1828 or email if you are interested in sharing your faith with children from ages 4 to 9.  

Volunteers are responsible for planning as well as delivering age-appropriate material during the 15-minute gathering after the Introductory Rites.  Resources are available for those who are interested.

A reminder that every volunteer working with children must have an up-to-date background check and safe environment training.  Additionally, all those forming faith must be certified by the diocese.  On-line training is available.
