For those who have come to one of our Taizé Prayer events (more to come, see schedule), you will recognize those words from one of the sung prayers. Those words remind us of Jesus’ instruction to His disciples – to pray with Him (on Holy Thursday night).

Did you know that there is a quiet place of prayer to pray in Hudson called the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel? People in both Columbia and Greene Counties looking for a quiet place to pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament are invited. While they would like to have it open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the pandemic has made that almost impossible. Please consider dropping by to pray in the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel for a few minutes (at any time the chapel is open) or consider signing up for 30 to 60 minutes on a regular basis as an “adorer.”

As many Catholics know, our Lord Jesus Christ in His Real Presence is in tabernacles of Catholic Churches throughout the world and should be adored. You are invited to bring a friend to Adoration, perhaps one who may not have experienced Eucharistic Adoration previously to join you. What a beautiful Lenten act of evangelical friendship this could be, to gently invite someone with you to sit in the Presence of Christ. You might invite them to share coffee or a light meal to discuss what their experience was.
