“When God tells you what to do, you cannot hesitate!”

This powerful quote is from the movie: Sound of Freedom. As mentioned over the last couple of weeks, this movie premiered on July 4, 2023, and is based on the true story of Tim Ballard, a U.S. government agent who quits his job to help rescue children. The children depicted in the movie are part of approximately 2 million children who are trafficked each year. I would also encourage all parents, grandparents, Godparents, aunts, uncles and all adults concerned about the safety of our children to consider going to see the movie. To those who have seen the movie, I would like to invite you to a meeting about what to do now that we’ve seen this movie. Another quote from this important movie is “God’s children are no longer for sale.” This quote should motivate all of us to help others to become aware of this growing problem. So,  let us get together to discuss what we, as a faith community of the CCNCC, can do to help prevent this from happening.

While the power of prayer is strong, I think in this case, actions and prayers are needed. So, let’s do more for these children and families than just pray for them! Contact me if you are willing to help. Thank you, Fr. Steve

“¡Cuando Dios te dice qué hacer, no puedes dudar!”

Esta poderosa cita es de la película: Sound of Freedom. Como se mencionó en las últimas semanas, esta película se estrenó el 4 de julio de 2023 y está basada en la historia real de Tim Ballard, un agente del gobierno de los EE. UU. que deja su trabajo para ayudar a rescatar niños. Los niños representados en la película son parte de aproximadamente 2 millones de niños que son traficados cada año. También animo a todos los padres, abuelos, padrinos, tías, tíos y todos los adultos preocupados por la seguridad de nuestros hijos a considerar ir a ver la película. A los que han visto la película, me gustaría invitarlos a una reunión sobre qué hacer ahora que hemos visto esta película.

Otra cita de esta importante película es “Los hijos de Dios ya no están a la venta”. Esta cita debería motivarnos a todos a ayudar a otros a tomar conciencia de este problema creciente. Entonces, reunámonos para discutir lo que nosotros, como comunidad de fe de la CCNCC, podemos hacer para ayudar a evitar que esto suceda.

Si bien el poder de la oración es fuerte, creo que en este caso se necesitan acciones y oraciones. Entonces, ¡hagamos más por estos niños y familias que solo orar por ellos! Ponte en contacto conmigo si estás dispuesto a ayudar. Gracias, padre Steve
