Welcome and Blessed Christmas!

We are very glad that you have joined us today!  We are better when you are with us, so I invite you to join us again as often as you can!

Today we celebrate an event that has been in the making for many years. An event that changed the world forever and is still changing it.  Where would we be without this event? Where would we be without God in the flesh in Jesus, who gives us hope. Where would we be without hope?

For four weeks we have been preparing for this very moment. It has been a season and journey of hope!  That hope continues from thousands of years ago, up until this very moment and beyond.  But the hope is not just in the baby Jesus.  That hope continues because the baby grows up and teaches us to pray, to care for one another and yes, to have hope.  To have hope in Him, in His suffering AND His Resurrection!   We believe that the Son of God, Emmanuel – God with us – was born and then died but rose again.

While each of us have doubts about our faith, we have hope in God, in Jesus, through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We come together today to praise, worship, and thank God! May I add my thanks for joining us today! I am the pastor of three parishes (with two languages) that make up one faith community of the Catholic Community of Northern Columbia County!  So, no matter where you are in life or on your faith journey, you are welcome here!  All because of the Hope of Jesus, the Hope of the world! ¡Bienvenidos y Bendita Navidad!

¡Estamos muy contentos de que te hayas unido a nosotros hoy! ¡Estamos muy contentos de que te hayas unido a nosotros hoy! Somos mejores cuando estás con nosotros, ¡así que te invito a unirte a nosotros tan a menudo como puedas!

Hoy celebramos un evento que se viene gestando desde hace muchos años. Un evento que cambió el mundo para siempre y sigue cambiándolo. ¿Dónde estaríamos sin este evento? ¿Dónde estaríamos sin Dios encarnado en Jesús, que nos da esperanza? ¿Dónde estaríamos sin esperanza?

Durante cuatro semanas nos hemos estado preparando para este mismo momento. ¡Ha sido una temporada y un viaje de esperanza! Esa esperanza continúa desde hace miles de años, hasta este mismo momento y más allá. Pero la esperanza no está sólo en el niño Jesús. Esa esperanza continúa porque el bebé crece y nos enseña a orar, a cuidarnos unos a otros y sí, a tener esperanza. ¡Tener esperanza en Él, en Su sufrimiento Y en Su Resurrección! Creemos que el Hijo de Dios, Emmanuel, Dios con nosotros, nació y luego murió, pero resucitó.

Mientras cada uno de nosotros tiene dudas sobre nuestra fe, tenemos esperanza en Dios, en Jesús, a través de los dones del Espíritu Santo. ¡Nos reunimos hoy para alabar, adorar y agradecer a Dios! ¡Puedo agregar mi agradecimiento por acompañarnos hoy! ¡Soy el párroco de tres parroquias (con dos idiomas) que conforman una comunidad de fe de la Comunidad Católica del Condado de Columbia del Norte! Entonces, no importa dónde se encuentre en la vida o en su camino de fe, ¡usted es bienvenido aquí! ¡Todo por la Esperanza de Jesús, la Esperanza del mundo! ¡Esperanza para ti y para mí! ¡Dios los bendiga y que tengan un maravilloso día y temporada de Navidad! -Padre Steve
