The Catholic Community of Northern Columbia County

For the past three weeks or so, our Lenten journey has included an increase in prayer, fasting and almsgiving. While following these three disciplines of Lent, we are feeling closer to God.

Last week we heard the story of the Samaritan Woman at the well. This week we hear about the man born blind, and next week, the Gospel is about the raising of Lazarus from the dead. All three of these readings can be summed up with the need for healing! So, the question for us is do we feel the need for healing in our lives? If so, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will help. 

Below is a schedule of dates and times of confession (which can also be found online and on the calendar which was handed out at the start of these 40 days). We are also posting the names of the priests who will be listening to confessions over the next two weeks in the churches of our CCNCC.

There is also the 24-hour confession schedule at Holy Trinity Church in Hudson from 8 AM Friday, March 31 until 8 AM April 1.  There will be at least one priest available for each hour during that timeframe.  (Fr. Steve is scheduled from 2pm to 5pm.)

Let us continue to pray for all in our One Faith Community of the CCNCC, especially those who are in need of God’s grace and healing that they may have the courage to go to this healing sacrament this Lenten season. —Fr. Steve

Durante las últimas tres semanas más o menos, nuestro viaje de Cuaresma ha incluido un aumento en la oración, el ayuno y la limosna. Al seguir estas tres disciplinas de Cuaresma, nos sentimos más cerca de Dios.

La semana pasada escuchamos la historia de la Mujer Samaritana en el pozo. Esta semana escuchamos sobre el hombre ciego de nacimiento, y la próxima semana, el Evangelio trata sobre la resurrección de Lázaro de entre los muertos. ¡Las tres lecturas se pueden resumir con la necesidad de curación! Entonces, la pregunta para nosotros es: ¿sentimos la necesidad de sanar en nuestras vidas? Si es así, el Sacramento de la Reconciliación ayudará.

A continuación se muestra un calendario de fechas y horas de confesión (que también se puede encontrar en línea y en el calendario que se entregó al comienzo de estos 40 días). También estamos publicando los nombres de los sacerdotes que estarán escuchando confesiones durante las próximas dos semanas en las iglesias de nuestro CCNCC.

También se ofrecerán confesiones de 24 horas en inglés en la Iglesia Holy Trinity en Hudson desde las 8 a. m. del viernes 31 de marzo hasta las 8 a. m. del 1 de abril. Habrá al menos un sacerdote disponible para cada hora durante ese período de tiempo. (El padre Steve está programado de 2 p. m. a 5 p. m.).

Sigamos orando por todos en nuestra Comunidad de Una Fe de la CCNCC, especialmente por aquellos que necesitan la gracia y la sanación de Dios para que puedan tener el coraje de ir a este sacramento de sanación en esta temporada de Cuaresma. —P. Steve
