SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT – NOVEMBER 12, 2021 – FROM FR. STEVE
Adjustment to the Mass Schedule – Effective Sunday, November 28, 2021
Hello everyone!
As you may know, I have been praying and thinking about an adjustment to our current Mass schedule since I arrived in July. I’ve mentioned it at masses over the last few weeks and have consulted with the trustees for all of our parishes. The main reason for this modification is that the time to travel from one church to another makes it difficult to start the next mass on time. While we received a number of suggestions, we have decided to wait until springtime to consider any major changes to the schedule.
However, there will be two minor revisions that will be made, effective in two weeks and I want you to hear it from me. Those two changes affect the current 9:00 AM mass (St. James) and the 10:30 AM mass (St. Joseph – Stuyvesant Falls). I hope that those affected will be able to adjust to the new mass times without much stress or anxiety.
Additionally, please note this new mass schedule does not include the mass times for Christmas Eve, Day, or Weekend (Dec. 24, 25, and 26), nor Easter Weekend or Holy Days. (Those Mass times will be announced in advance as they occur.) If you have any questions, please contact our central office at 518-758-9401.
The new mass schedule will be listed in the bulletin dated November 21, 2021.
Lastly, please note that I do not make these adjustments lightly or for the sake of making change and I ask for your understanding and cooperation!
Thank you and God Bless,
Fr. Steve
