Session 1 of Family Faith Formation focused on the basics of PRAYER and included answering the question “What is prayer?” and suggestions for making prayer a part of family life each day, as well as a discussion between the families on places, posture,
preparation, process and the profession of prayer.
For Session 2 for both October 23 at 5 pm (Sunday evening option) and October 30 at 9:15 am (Sunday morning option), families will
gather for Circle of Grace, the faith based diocesan program created to protect our children and young people. Catechists will meet with the youth, while adults, including the 9th and 10th graders, will learn more about creating a safe environment from Brian Evers, former diocesan Coordinator for Safe Environment, and now executive director of Pyramid Life Center.
The weekends of October 29 and 30 and November 19 and 20 is our first family service opportunity! We will gather to rake leaves and
prepare our cemeteries for winter.
The dates, times, and places are as follows:
Saturday, Oct. 29, 3 – 5 pm: St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Valatie
Sunday, Oct. 30, 12 – 2 pm: St. James Cemetery, Ghent
Saturday, Nov. 19, 3 – 5 pm: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Stuyvesant Falls
