Weekend of November 11 and 12, 2023

"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”

Beginning in December, we will focus on the Corporal works of Mercy as we strive to become closer to each other – both the people we know and the people of humankind.  The Corporal Works of Mercy are kind acts by which we help others with their material and physical needs.  They are:  shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, and bury the dead.

In a world fraught with anger and distrust, we can all use a reminder that Jesus called EACH of us to do his work as individuals and in the community.  The work he calls us to do may be difficult and we are most assuredly asked to step beyond the places where we are comfortable.

This weekend our Family Faith Formation gathers at St. James in Chatham beginning with the 9:15 am Mass.

December Family Faith Formation dates:

Sunday, December 3 at 5 pm at St. John the Baptist

Sunday, December 10 at 9:15 am at St. James
