"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”
This weekend marks the end of the Christmas Season as we celebrate Epiphany - the coming visitors from the East who were seeking the child whose birth was heralded by a new star, (Matthew 2: 1-12) as well as the Prophet Isaiah (60:1-6) and the Psalms (68:29 and 72:10)
As we box up decorations, remove the tree, and settle into winter, may we continue to celebrate the gift of Jesus, and act on our call to discipleship through service to others.
January Family Faith Formation gatherings are Sunday, January 8, at 5 pm at St. John the Baptist, and Sunday, January 22 at 9:15 am at St. James.
Sidewalk Warriors
Please continue your generosity! Sidewalk Warriors still need cereal, pancake or waffle mix, mac and cheese, granola bars, tuna, peanut butter, and individually wrapped toilet paper for people facing food insecurity. Winter is hard for those in need.
