"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”
The Christmas Season continues with the Solemnity of Mary, celebrated this weekend. As the mother of God’s Son, Mary is especially worthy of our respect and love. This feast day honors her and her simple “yes” to God, a “yes” that brought all of us salvation. With that “yes” she would know many years of joy, but would also know unbearable sadness when her child was crucified for his message of love.
The next Family Faith Formation gatherings are Epiphany Sunday, January 8, at 5pm at St. John the Baptist, and Sunday, January 22 at 9:15 am at St. James.

We thank all of you who continue to supply cereal, pancake or waffle mix, mac and cheese, granola bars, tuna, peanut butter, and individually wrapped toilet paper for people facing food insecurity. Winter is an especially hard time for those in need. Thank you for loving others who you do not know.
