"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”
Family Faith Formation concentrated on the Corporal Works of Mercy this year. The sixth of seven Corporal Works – bury the dead – was the focus of April’s FFF. Father Steve, CCNCC Pastor, and Barbara Berger, Director of CCNCC cemeteries, met with the adults and young people to talk about the ways our Catholic Faith Community cares for those who die, and the ways our faith can bring hope to those who grieve.
A REMINDER: Please take a name from the basket at your church to pray for those receiving the Sacraments of Initiation at Pentecost. Names include our RCIA candidates and our young people receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please pray daily for the individual chosen, using any of your favorite prayers. We want each person to be prayed for every day until May 18th !
Next Family Faith Formation Gatherings are:
Sunday, May 5 at 5 pm at St. John the Baptist
Sunday, May 12 at 9 am at St. James
