Weekend of April 22 and 23, 2023

"The value of persistent prayer is not that God will hear us, but that we will finally hear God.”

On Saturday, April 15 our Confirmation candidates along with others from Columbia and Greene counties, spent a day on retreat at St. Mary’s Academy in Hudson.  The following day, April 16, 18 of our young people received the Sacrament from Bishop Edward Scharfenberger at Holy Trinity Parish.  Congratulations to Christian A, Gavin, William, Addison, Olivia H, Sophia, Rose, Holly, Sasha, Christian L, James, Olivia M, Daisy, Blaise, John, Samuel, Lauren, and Taylor.  May God bless them and their families as they go forth with increased grace to serve God and others.

Please pray for our younger people as they receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time on Saturday, May 6 at 3:30 pm at the Church of St. Joseph, on Sunday, May 7 at 9:15 am at St. James Church, and on Saturday, May 13 at 4 pm at St. John the Baptist Church. They will be on retreat on Sunday, April 30 at St. John the Baptist and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the second time.

The next Family Faith Formation gathering is Sunday, April 23 at 9:15 am at St. James and Sunday, May 7 at 5 pm at St. John the Baptist.
