Alleluia! Christ is risen! Christ will come again!
The Easter season is here. The followers of Jesus believed that Jesus would rise from the dead, but were not sure if or when they would see the Risen Christ. A few days after the Resurrection, as two of them traveled on the road to the town of Emmaus, a third person joined them. They told the stranger about Jesus and then invited him to join them for a meal. As the Gospel of Luke states
“… while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him….”
Will we recognize Jesus in our midst?
The next Family Faith Formation gathering is Sunday, April 23 at 9:15 am at St. James and Sunday, May 7 at 5 pm at St. John the Baptist.
Please pray for our young people as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, April 16, at 2 pm at Holy Trinity Church in Hudson. The celebrant will be from Bishop Edward Scharfenberger.
Our younger people will receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time on Sunday, May 7 at 9:15 am at St. James Church, or Saturday, May 13 at 4 pm at St. John the Baptist Church.

The needs of people continue to grow. Please consider donations of full-sized boxes of cereal, toilet paper, and paper napkins. All items can be dropped off at the CCNCC offices at 1025 Kinderhook Street, Valatie.
