On Saturday, April 22, Jacob – a candidate from CCNCC – received the Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham. The Very Rev. Robert Longobucco, Vicar General of the Diocese was the celebrant for the Sacrament for Jacob and 26 other young people. Congratulations, Jacob! May God bless you and all of our newly confirmed as you go forth with increased grace to serve God and others.
Our younger people are on retreat this weekend at St. John the Baptist Church and will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the second time.
They will receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time on Saturday, May 6 at 3:30 pm at the Church of St. Joseph, on Sunday, May 7 at 9:15 am at St. James Church, and on Saturday, May 13 at 4 pm at St. John the Baptist Church. Please pray for them and their families as they receive the Gift of Eucharist. May they continue to grow in their love of God through our example!
Looking ahead to summer! We are looking for young people to plan Vacation Bible School this summer. Please call Ruth Ellen if you are interested in working with kids entering grades 1 – 5. We will be meeting soon.
