The First Eucharist Retreat is Saturday, April 9 from 9 am to noon at St. John the Baptist.
The Sacrament of First Eucharist will be celebrated in May.

Next gatherings:
March 6 Essential Reconciliation for young people in High School and their families. 4 pm until Mass at 5:30 and following Mass until 7:30 pm. At St. James.
March 20 Mass at 5:30 followed by light supper, and family formation at the Church of St. Joseph, Stuyvesant.
Confirmation News
April 10 Palm Sunday Retreat for all Columbia County Confirmation candidates at St. Mary’s School, Hudson from noon to 6 pm.
May 15 The Ceremony of Light for Confirmation candidates and their families is Sunday, May 15 at 7 pm at the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant. Candidates and their families will celebrate a quiet affirmation of the promises made at the Sacrament of Baptism.
May 22 The Sacrament of Confirmation for young people in Columbia County will be celebrated by Bishop Edward Scharfenberger at 3 pm at St. James Church in Chatham.
Adult Formation for Lent
March 16 Contemplate Psalm 22, the Psalm of the Cross, through music, reflection, and quiet at 6:30 pm at St. John the Baptist with Kris Rooney. Kris is the Pastoral Associate for Pastoral Care and Adult Faith Formation at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Schenectady.
April 3 “The Gifts of Lent” a reflection by Sister Kitty Hanley, CSJ at 3 pm at The Church of St. Joseph, Stuyvesant. Sister Kitty is a Sister of St Joseph and is the coordinator of Holy Ground, a spiritual direction training program for the Diocese of Albany
Ongoing St. John the Baptist Church will be open each weekday for private prayer ending with a Rosary for peace at 6 pm.
Sidewalk Warriors
Please continue to support this organization through your donations. The extremely cold weather means that there is a need for NEW thermal tops/ bottoms and thinsulated gloves for people. As always, the need continues for easily prepared foods like pancake mix, as well as reusable bags and Ziploc style food bags. Please drop off donations at the CCNCC offices at 1025 Kinderhook Street in Valatie.
